Golden Globes Trend : Hairstyles

Ponytails
Glamorous ponytails never go out of style — they're youthful, fuss-free and flattering. Kyra Sedgwick gets our vote for best pony of the night: She had just the right amount of volume and long, face-framing layers. Other standouts were Piper Perabo, who glammed up her style with a red pout; 14 year-old True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld, who couldn't have looked more age-appropriate; and Jennifer Lopez who, as usual, was the epitome of sleek.

French Twists
Awards show hair is tricky: It has to work with the dress, and the style should be modern — but not so trendy that it looks outdated in photos later on. We always expect to see updos — especially this season, as upswept hairstyles swept the spring runways — but were surprised by the elaborate French twists worn by Mila Kunis, Natalie Portman, Emma Stone and Carrie Underwood. These ladies looked lovely and regal in a way that will surely stand the test of time.

Golden Globes Trend : Men's Fashion

At » 11:53 AM // 0 Comments »

2011 Golden Globe Awards held on January 16 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel presented lot of red carpet fashion trends. This time, Hollywood ladies as well as Hottest Male Stars of Hollywood gathered to honor the year’s best in cinema along with flaunting Men’s Red Carpet Fashion Trends.
Most of the guys kept their look sharp but simple and opted for black ensemble but what distinguished their looks were ties and bow ties. These men in black suited up for the event and grabbed attention with their great looks and turned out to be Best Dressed Men at the 68th Annual Golden Globes.

Brad Pitt Golden Globes 2011 style was stylish in suit with bow tie. He hit red carpet with beautiful Angelina Jolie. Brad looked handsome in a traditional Tom Ford black suitwith slicked-back hair and sunglasses.

Ryan Kwanten, 34-year-old True Blood star was all smiles at the 68th Annual Golden Globes donning Hugo BOSS black tux and crimson bow tie.

Jake Gyllenhaal Golden Globes 2011 red carpet look also took him to 2011 Golden Globes best dressed list. 30-year-old actor suited up in Burberry tux with bow and black leather lace up shoes.

Ryan Gosling was surely 2011 Golden Globe Awards best dressed man as he sported a timeless look. 30-year-old Blue Valentine actor looked a million bucks in a black velvet classic Ferragamo suit and Hugo Boss black velvet bow tie.

2011 Golden Globes Presenter Chris Hemsworth wore an Giorgio Armani two-button shawl collar tuxedo with a fluffed bow tie and well-styled hair.

Talking about style statement of newly single Zac Efron at the 2011 Golden Globes, 23-year-old actor and presenter at the award show suited up in Calvin Klein with neck tie and flaunted his cropped hairdo at the event.
Mark Salling, 28-year-old Glee actor wore black tuxedo with white shirt and bow. But, what grabbed most attention was Mark Salling haircut. He sported a mohawk hairdo.

Robert Pattinson suited up for the event. He also chose black suit and neck tie to rock a head turning look.

Justin Bieber went little different and opted for three-piece D&G tuxedo. 16-year-old teen heartthrob flaunted a grown-up look but those sneakers were a little mismatch.

One male celeb who opted for a no tie look was Johnny Depp. He hit red carpet in Ralph Lauren Black Label tuxedo. 47-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actor opted for a no tie look and looked dashing.

Hollywood hunks including Chris Hemsworth, Brad Pitt, Zac Efron, Ryan Kwanten, Ryan Gosling, Justin Bieber, Jake Gyllenhaal, Johnny Depp, Mark Salling were surely dressed to impress. They contributed to 2011 Golden Globes red carpet fashion in most perfect way.

Golden Globes Trend : Fashion

Time was, every ingenue in town was sporting bare shoulders and décolleté. But tonight several nominees and presenters opted out of the "if you've got it, flaunt it" lockstep and chose elegant long-sleeved attire. Best Actress in a Drama winner Annette Bening looked smashing in Tom Ford, while Angelina Jolie opted for Versace in of-the-moment emerald green. Leighton Meester had a leg o' mutton moment in Burberry Prorsum, and Anne Hathaway showed off a bold-shouldered Giorgio Armani Privé. No mother-of-the-bride vibes here.

Pantone's color of the year for 2011? "Honeysuckle," a fetching shade of pink. Appropriately, pink showed up on the red carpet in plenty of incarnations, from Natalie Portman's blush-toned Viktor & Rolf to Emma Stone's peachy shade and Claire Danes' ultrabright hue (both stars wore Calvin Klein Collection.) Lea Michele's ruffly Oscar de la Renta and Megan Fox's blush-toned Giorgio Armani Privé rounded out the rosy bouquet.

Long, lean and green was a winning combination for many of the Golden Globe attendees. Angelina Jolie sported sparkling, long-sleeved Versace, while Black Swan's Mila Kunis opted for a jade Vera Wang gown. Catherine Zeta-Jones (in Monique Lhuillier) and Elisabeth Moss (Donna Karan) went for slightly darker shades of emerald.

Beauty Tips : How to get the latest star beauty looks

At » 11:02 AM // 0 Comments »

Coral Glow

"I wanted Mila Kunis to look fresh and effortless," said Lancome makeup artist Tracey Levy, who worked with the star at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills. A hint of coral eye shadow, a sweep of coral blush along the star's cheekbones, and a wash of coral lipstick gave Kunis a tonal glow. "The makeup's coral tones contrasted perfectly with her emerald gown," said Levy.

Red Lipstick

At the 2011 InStyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globes After Party in Beverly Hills, Malin Akerman chose to accent her siren red gown with precise crimson lipstick. The reason the pairing doesn't look too matchy matchy? Akerman kept the makeup on the rest of her face clean, save for a dusting of gold bronze shadow along her top and bottom lashlines. The shadow added a glint of light and prevented the lipstick from being too severe.

Voluminous Updo

At the 2011 Golden Globes Awards in Beverly Hills, Scarlett Johansson's hairstylist Robert Vetica, who works with Moroccanoil, made the very most of her chin-length waves. "Her dress was a subtle enough color that I didn't want to pin all her hair back, but it was too ornate for me to leave it down," he explained. The solution? Curling all her hair in small, ringlet curls before brushing them out and swooping them back. "The curls gave her short hair tons of volume. I held it all back and to the left with a gorgeous vintage barrette," he said. The stylist finished with a blast of shimmery, light hold hairspray.

Trends : Trousers and skirts

At » 12:16 PM // 0 Comments »
Trousers - be they mid-calf or ankle-length, styled with a dash of humor, or worn under tunics or evening dresses - are used so extensively that they have practically colonized fashion. Nomadic echoes infiltrate the urban wardrobe of a hedonistic traveler and aesthete in search of new horizons who wears pullovers/veils/leggings or couture jackets/skirt/extra-long trousers, where the skirt creates a sharp contrast between the jacket and pants of a shiny suit.

When harem pants peek out from under a dress, clearly that European, African, and Oriental blend is stylish in the city. That's why daring black leather trousers are worn with filmy tops.

Tight tuxedo trousers accompany theatrically lined full skirts with a distinct Baroque look, and coral pants peek out from under a long taffeta dress in ivory, yellow, and icy white.

Languid idleness had already inspired seventies hedonism when a combination of suits, kurtas, and djellabahs swept away intellectuals and the most creative jet-setters who spent their nights in luminous Halston-style sheathes. Back then, a suede mini-skirt with suspenders was worn with flannel to interpret a hunter's spirit.

When circle skirts swirled in the winter of '69, capes and dresses cinched tight at the waist were worn over trousers. Layering - here in an orange-brick combination inspired by late 19th century wayfarers - was the choice for sailing through the early eighties, when cool black leggings appeared under Thierry Mugler's apron-like couture jeans dress from the winter of 1984.
