Couture Fashion Week : Front Row pics

See who bagged a front row seat at Couture Fashion Week in Paris.

Diane Kruger at Chanel
Ah, Diane Kruger, you never disappoint us! The ever-chic starlet upped the star power at Chanel's Spring/Summer '11 Couture show in an uber-elegant camel dress with glittering gold beadwork. No doubt Monsieur Lagerfeld was impressed.

Flanked by a sea of photographers, the A-list actress prompted a flashbulb frenzy as she made her way into the Chanel Couture show.

Kirsten Dunst at Chanel
Jetting over to Paris to take in the sights of Couture Fashion Week, Kirsten Dunst made the Chanel show her first stop of the week, slipping into a sophisticated navy shirt dress for the occasion. We love the pleated skirt detailing - tres chic!

Alexa Chung at Chanel
Alexa Chung showed off her signature brand of quirky styling at the Chanel show, rocking a tuxedo-inspired dress with button-up shirt and bow-tie detailing. Some towering peep-toes platforms completed her look.

Is it just us, or has the lovely Alexa had a hair makeover? The Brit fashionista's locks looked decidedly darker as she struck a pose for the cameras.

Vanessa Paradis at Chanel
No Chanel show would be complete with Vanessa Paradis, thanks to her position as one of Karl's favourite muses. The effortlessly chic starlet managed to make roll-up jeans and a little black blazer look the absolute height of glamour - but then this is the woman that seduced Johnny Depp.

Vanessa accessorised her laidback ensemble with a prerequisite Chanel quilted shoulder bag.

Karen Elson at Chanel
Fresh from supplying the musical entertainment at the Etam show just the night before, Karen Elson switched to the front row for her Chanel appearance.

Karen teamed her stripy jumper dress with the only accessory to be seen with - a Chanel satchel.

Olivia Wilde at Giorgio Armani Prive
Olivia Wilde turned on the glamour to hit the Giorgio Armani Prive show, courtesy of a jaw-dropping shimmering dress.

How To Wear Colour

At » 2:00 PM // 0 Comments »

It's official. Colour is the new black. For Spring, designers revisited glamour, favouring ravishing reds, plush purples and bright blues, ultimately redefining feel-good fashion as we know it. Strong hues are no longer solely the domain of fashion's risk takers; they're for everyone. Get on board and find the shade you'll shine in.

Don’t be afraid to pair bold prints, like Proenza Schouler's colorful sequin number, with over-the-top extras.

Choose a prim and proper silhouette in a striking, knockout shade like Christopher Kane's neon green suit.

Finish off your bright separates with a coordinating printed tee or a simple buttoned blouse.

Take a risk with color blocking. Think bright on brights (like at Prabal Gurung), print on prints, or solid on solids.

Match brights with neutrals (like Michael Kor's mossy green with stark white) for a more wearable feel.

Love or hate? Sandra Bullock's blunt new fringe

It's been a while since we've spotted the gorgeous Sandra Bullock on the red carpet, but the starlet was back for this year's Golden Globes, with a whole new look!

Stepping out at Sunday's glittering ceremony - her first big Hollywood outing since last year's Oscars - Sandy debuted a heavy fringe, which she's recently added to her glossy poker straight mane.

Wearing a romantic Jenny Packham dusty pink gown, the lading lady's dramatic new 'do' proved quite the contrast to her feminine styling.

Do you love Sandra's new eye-skimming fringe, or do you prefer her 'do' without?

Styling Tip : Look sexier in one step

Show a Little Lingerie

Look deliciously undone by letting a hint of lace peek out from a ladylike look. Blake Lively chose a dress with a purposely peek-a-boo effect, but you can reveal the lacy edge of a bra or camisole for a similar effect. Or, go the Katy Perry route and wear an opaque nude slip as a skirt.

Try On Some Patterned Stockings

Sometimes what you put on is more enticing than what you take off. Follow the lead of Sarah Jessica Parker and AnnaLynne McCord and add some sheer Swiss dot stockings to a little black dress for instant ooh-la-la.

Pair a Fitted Top with a Pencil Skirt

Be a modern day sweater girl in this ultra-simple curve-revealing combo. All it took was a flawless fit to make Jennifer Aniston's simple separates look enticing, while Scarlett Johansson upped the ante by choosing an hourglass-enhancing skirt with a two-tone waist.

Rock a Sheer Top

Add a feminine touch to your man-tailored trousers with a translucent top. Maggie Q bared her black bra while Drew Barrymore chose an eye-tricking nude underpinnings. Either way, keep the bra full-coverage to avoid turning a suggestion into a show.

Wear Touchable Fabrics

Warning: you may have to stay clear of the touchy-feely types. Choose a luxe plush like Minnie Driver or a crushed velvet a la Hilary Swank for a look that will be (almost) irresistible.

Match Your Lipstick to Your Dress

A hot red dress plus crimson lipstick is unmistakably va-va-va-voom. Just don't overwhelm the shade with busy accessories—limit your add-ons to stud earrings like Angelina Jolie or an oversize cuff like Ashley Greene
